Holiday ? which one be holiday ?!

I dey for work now(Ok maybe no be work i dey do now now).

But as i sidon dey wait make dem call me to come do sometin' (i dey on-call) na im i begin wonder whether naija people dey go holiday sef...
De reason why such thought begin cross my mind be say me i don tire well well and soon i go go on leave...

When you dey outside Naija, now and then person dey fit manage but na only becos, my wife(wey no be naija person) dey always look for holday deals, na im make i dey even go sometimes becos' left to me, i for dey find locum(work) do whenever i dey leave.

But since she begin drag me go holiday, i don dey enjoy am small small.
The other day him begin tell me say disneyland(de one wey dey Paris) get some family deals, and i tell am say him too busy body! a deal always dey more expensive dan nothing, abi?! so no matter wetin the deal be, ee go still cost money!

Dat na the same ting wey i bin tell am last time wey we go on holiday, but when we bin don go come back, an' even though i bin dey complain each time wey i spend money, after the holiday i com see sey ee no bad as i tink! Especially as my body come dey readier(shebi na oyibo word be dat) to take on my work...

When i bin dey naija, sha, i no sabi wetin be holiday!

Man-me, na true talk you yan so. I remember the time wey I dey Air Force proper for Yanky. They give man pickin 30 day leave every year plus unlimmited sick days (but you must sick sha) anyway when my leave reach man no no wetin to do with am. Infact when I commot 4 years later, them pay man for 58 days of leave. I for get 120 days but after 60 days na "use or loose" so I dey always make sure say even though I no get place go, man no go just loose him leave like that.

Anyway now wey man dey desert, I still they work for the same people but now I be contractor. The leave situation still be the same. This na the first time when I go take leave since them born me. I rock my leave go Naija. But the wahala of Naija come make the leave self tough pas work.

My advice be say make everybody fin time relax. Even Jesus find time to chill with him peeps and some time chill alone. This na one of the reasons wey we dey quick die pass oyimbo. We no dey rest.
Like 8 months ago, I get another contract offer and na better money dey involved but them talk say na 7 days a week 10 hours a day work. After I think am, I tell them say "No". Because if to say 7 days work easy, God for no rest for sabbath day.
