Quality will always beat quantity

As of the latest report, Toyota is now the number one car maker in the world. Beating GM in sales over the last quater. However according to the latest quality test, American vehicles have greatly improved in quality.

yeah,have always thought a toyota will always give a pleasurable ride.also toyota have exceeded all US quality tests on their cars.talk abt competition,though still think general motors still have the might to lead again bt they dont have to sell jaguar and rover.am sure they can restructure their company for profitability.

American cars are being made better but there resale value is not as good as toyota and several other forgien made cars so that will keep american cars from advancing gm is pretty good.

I think you meant Ford motor company. They are considering sell those units now, starting with Volvo.

Personally I prefer BMW..the ultimate.. although if you don't have a service plan it will be an expensive adventure. But the ride is....you have to experience it.:D

I am really surprised that no one is mentioning the daimler chrysler sets. I strongly believe that Mercedes Benz is one of the premium quality vehicles in the world. They may not have sold as much as Toyota, yet that doesn't take away from their quality. If am to have a fleet of cars, i wl make them all Benz.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the # 1 for quality as of the latest study is Porche. Benz had a lot of quality and reliability issues with vehicle built between 1999 and 2005.
So now Porche is not only known for speed but quality and reliablility. Ford also has come a long way but the big news this year was that Toyota slipped a bit as it was overtaken by Porche - The car dreams are made of
